Dutch symphonic metal act Delain<\/strong><\/a> are getting ready for a brand new album, but as they\u2019ve done in the past, they don\u2019t want to let us wait that long for the new release, so they\u2019ve prepared something new-ish for us in order to make the wait a bit more gentle. If you enjoyed listening to \u201cInterlude<\/strong>\u201d, then you\u2019ll be excited to hear that Delain<\/strong> will be releasing a new EP named \u201cLunar Prelude<\/strong>\u201d on the 19th<\/sup> of February via Napalm Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now we already know the songs that will be featured on \u201cLunar Prelude<\/strong>\u201d, but that doesn\u2019t mean that this EP won\u2019t be a valuable adition to our Delain<\/strong> collection. Being mastered by Ted Jensen<\/strong> (Grammy Award-winning engineer, 16 times!) it sounds extremely good and I\u2019m not just saying this because I\u2019m a fan. We\u2019ve already listened to the two brand new songs \u201cSuckerpunch<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cTurn The Lights Out<\/strong>\u201d, because they\u2019ve been performing them live for a while now and I gotta say, it was love at first listening. I really dig these electronic vibes that are present on the new tracks and I believe it suits them nicely. It makes their sound unique, bombastic and even catchy! I\u2019ve been humming \u201cSuckerpunch<\/strong>\u201d for a week now. Also loving the powerful video they\u2019ve just released for it.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s their statement: \u201cDear Delainers, Our latest album The Human Contradiction<\/strong> has taken us on a great ride, performing hundreds of stages around the globe for all of you. We barely managed to catch our breaths from our most recent tours, yet we’ve already got some new music that we simply can’t wait to share. Delain<\/strong><\/a> looks like a happy, fresh bunch getting ready to conquer more and more teritorry on the metal scene, having grown a lot in the past few years, but not only them, also their fanbase and that\u2019s a really important factor for every band out there. Staying in touch with their fans by means of social media, organising signing sessions before their concerts, hanging out with their fans after finishing their performance \u2013 these are the little things that bring a band closer to their audience. And we can\u2019t wait to see them again this summer, rocking at the Metalhead Meeting Festival<\/a>!<\/p>\n
