Istorie, spiritualitate \u015fi art\u0103.<br \/>\nExpozi\u0163ia prezint\u0103 o parte a patrimoniului recuperat, apar\u0163in\u00e2nd bisericii m\u0103n\u0103stirii Cotroceni, ctitorie a domnitorului \u015eerban Cantacuzino (1678 &#8211; 1688).<br \/>\n\tEvenimentul este prilejuit \u015fi de \u00eemplinirea a cinci ani de la sfin\u0163irea noii biserici Cotroceni \u00een octombrie 2009, \u015fi de s\u0103rb\u0103torirea celui de-al doilea hram \u201eSfin\u0163ii Mucenici Serghie \u015fi Vach\u201d, care s-au pr\u0103znuit \u00een ziua de 7 octombrie.<br \/>\nObiectele de o valoare patrimonial\u0103 inestimabil\u0103 au fost supuse unui amplu proces de restaurare, \u00een laboratoarele specializate ale muzeelor din Bucure\u015fti \u015fi din \u0163ar\u0103: Muzeul Na\u0163ional Cotroceni, Muzeul Militar Na\u0163ional &#8222;Regele Ferdinand I&#8221;, Muzeul Olteniei, Craiova, Complexul Na\u0163ional Muzeal &#8222;Astra&#8221;- Sibiu, Muzeul Bucovinei, Suceava, Muzeul Unirii, Alba Iulia &#8211; Centrul Na\u0163ional de Conservare \u015fi Restaurare Carte, cu scopul de a eviden\u0163ia valoarea lor artistic\u0103, de m\u0103rturii semnificative ale artei create \u00een spa\u0163iul rom\u00e2nesc sau \u00een alte areale culturale, pentru acest a\u015fez\u0103m\u00e2nt monastic.<br \/>\n\tDomnitorul \u015eerban Cantacuzino a fost ctitor al m\u0103n\u0103stirii Cotroceni, ini\u0163iator \u015fi sus\u0163in\u0103tor al introducerii limbii rom\u00e2ne \u00een cancelaria domneasc\u0103 \u015fi \u00een biseric\u0103 \u015fi ap\u0103r\u0103tor al cre\u015ftin\u0103t\u0103\u0163ii, urm\u0103rind cu perseveren\u0163\u0103 \u00eenl\u0103turarea dependen\u0163ei fa\u0163\u0103 de Imperiul Otoman. S-a remarcat drept un sus\u0163in\u0103tor al tiparului, contribuind la tip\u0103rirea \u00een limba rom\u00e2n\u0103 a Bibliei (1688), cunoscut\u0103 sub numele de Biblia de la Bucure\u015fti.<br \/>\n\u00cen cadrul expozi\u0163iei de la Muzeul Na\u0163ional Cotroceni este expus pentru prima dat\u0103 publicului, o parte din patrimoniul recuperat care a apar\u0163inut bisericii Cotroceni: icoane \u00eemp\u0103r\u0103te\u015fti, de iconostas, pr\u0103znicare cu dubl\u0103 fa\u0163\u0103, cu ferec\u0103tur\u0103, un iconostas din 1849, cruci de iconostas \u015fi de altar; obiecte de orfevr\u0103rie liturgic\u0103 din argint (anaforni\u0163e, candele, sfe\u015fnice, cruci de m\u00e2n\u0103, candelabru cu decora\u0163ie de influen\u0163\u0103 baroc\u0103, obiecte de cult utilizate \u00een timpul serviciului divin); broderii liturgice (felon, poale de icoan\u0103, v\u0103luri de t\u00e2mpl\u0103, procov\u0103\u0163, epitaf \u201ePl\u00e2ngerea Domnului\u201d &#8211; secolele XVII &#8211; XVIII); c\u0103r\u0163i (Istoria Patriarhilor Ierusalimului scris\u0103 de Dositei patriarhul Ierusalimului, 1715, Biblia, Blaj, 1795, Sf\u00e2nta Evanghelie, Vene\u0163ia, 1801, Minee tip\u0103tite la Vene\u0163ia (1672 &#8211; 1790), Apostol,  Buz\u0103u, 1704, Octoih, M\u0103n\u0103stirea Neam\u0163, 1836, Evanghelie cu ferec\u0103tur\u0103, Bucure\u015fti, 1856); piese de mobilier: (strane &#8211; sec. XVII \u015fi XIX, amvon &#8211; sec. XIX, jil\u0163 arhieresc &#8211; sec. XIX, tetrapod &#8211; sec. XIX analoghioane &#8211; sec. XIX, mese cu picior &#8211; sec. XIX, mese cu panou decorativ \u201eSf\u00e2nta Treime\u201d &#8211; sec. XIX).<br \/>\nExpozi\u0163ia Biserica M\u0103n\u0103stirii Cotroceni.
