{"id":10620,"date":"2016-09-29T08:22:48","date_gmt":"2016-09-29T08:22:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/?p=10620"},"modified":"2016-09-29T09:10:15","modified_gmt":"2016-09-29T09:10:15","slug":"throwback-sunrise-presents-sunwaves-20-as-seen-by-art-out","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/throwback-sunrise-presents-sunwaves-20-as-seen-by-art-out\/","title":{"rendered":"Throwback: Sunrise presents Sunwaves 20 (As seen by Art Out)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On almost every day\/night I spent standing in the first row in order to see and hear better the artists that were performing, my head was booming with the heavy bass and my heart was dancing in my chest, only at times to wake up from that state and feel so much joy- the best kind of happiness and peace, that only your favourite music can bring you.<\/p>\n<p>We arrived at about 11 PM on Friday evening, catching Lizz\u2019s final <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2dtSpc4\">piece<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We saw him playing before, so we knew this young emerging artist would deliver a good set.<\/p>\n<p>Although we sat for 40-45 minutes at the door to get our pass, it didn\u2019t matter because we where there for the DJs and their acts.<\/p>\n<p>Nu Zau played beautifully, giving a great <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cksd0a\">performance<\/a> at stage B.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mr6tlyKiX1c&amp;index=3&amp;list=PLtjrqNtQb0jIeDEtq-Ez1jXrPYSt1s_wX\">SIT<\/a> Live were amazing- we expected the best and they delivered.\u00a0 Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia are known to be great DJs and producers that have a classical background, so we knew we where in for a treat.<\/p>\n<p>When they played <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NbNXtwnk5iU&amp;index=2&amp;list=PLtjrqNtQb0jIeDEtq-Ez1jXrPYSt1s_wX\">Angels<\/a>, everyone got crazy and started to really enjoy the set, feeling like the SW mood really kicked in.<\/p>\n<p>We caught Suciu &amp; Herodot at around 8 PM the next day. Everyone was having such a great time, the atmosphere was amazing and you could almost feel the breeze mixing with the energy and the good vibes.<\/p>\n<p>I personally enjoyed Herodot\u2019s tracks, but not so much the acid vibes that Suciu brought. All in all, nothing beats a <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cNMJpt\">dancey<\/a> mix and people can certainly feel and respond to <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2dbGlvR\">it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We saw Fumiya Tanaka at 6 AM on Saturday at stage D. He started off with deep beats, continued with a set that couldn\u2019t stop our feet, but ended pretty abruptly. He started a powerful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JSnSmZTX5qA\">mix<\/a>, transporting us through storms and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FK2_-dLr3lI\">dancing<\/a> mountains, some might say.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/cap.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10626\" src=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/cap.jpg\" alt=\"cap\" width=\"960\" height=\"551\" data-id=\"10626\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/cap.jpg 960w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/cap-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/cap-624x358.jpg 624w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/cap-900x516.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dan Andrei- or the prodigious child, supported by Rhadoo in Dan\u2019s early days delivered an experimental set, mixing futurist and abstract sounds at first, only to bring in afterwords loopy, mesmerizing <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2d1CCyL\">sounds<\/a>. For me it had a dark, detached feel to it, but very well constructed- the sounds were blending in perfectly.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-5ERJ196WMw&amp;index=14&amp;list=PLtjrqNtQb0jKpv945JZIy0LV73SNSOXEa\">Gescu<\/a> got us moving from the very first second he put his hands on the CDJS.<\/p>\n<p>We danced for 4 to 5 more hours, even though it was hellish hot and everything was dripping inside and outside.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gescu.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10628\" src=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gescu.jpg\" alt=\"gescu\" width=\"960\" height=\"551\" data-id=\"10628\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gescu.jpg 960w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gescu-300x172.jpg 300w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gescu-624x358.jpg 624w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/gescu-900x516.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1K06J9xJsW8\">Xandru<\/a> had a very good set, although he was a newcomer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k8AVt8y4tvI\">Praslea<\/a> delighted us with a beautiful night mix, powerful and dark, yet enchanting, that kept us moving.Except for a short power cut when people reacted in a very nice way, playing at bottles, the act was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4HU_dqnniZ0\">amazing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As Monday melted into Tuesday, Dubtil started the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cwKN8S\">frenzy<\/a>; this is when the afterparty really kickstarted.<\/p>\n<p>Cezar B2B\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cwKN8S\">Dubtil<\/a> represented for me the SW <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cYf4yT\">experience<\/a>. With two such <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2ds3bNl\">experienced<\/a> DJs, this beautiful festival couldn\u2019t have ended more properly.<\/p>\n<p>Dark vocals, heavy bass, melancholic, yet beautiful construction of sounds getting the people mesmerized; you could feel that pressure building towards a blissful state.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dreamrec.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10629\" src=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dreamrec.jpg\" alt=\"dreamrec\" width=\"1053\" height=\"523\" data-id=\"10629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dreamrec.jpg 1053w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dreamrec-300x149.jpg 300w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dreamrec-1024x508.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dreamrec-624x309.jpg 624w, https:\/\/artout.ro\/reviste\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/dreamrec-900x447.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1053px) 100vw, 1053px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Red lights were illuminating the tent, almost deconstructing it and the storm was starting.The atmosphere was amazing, almost magical and we all felt it.<\/p>\n<p>Mermaid-like sounds coming in waves, creating a mutual state of <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cUkBmy\">trance<\/a> and respect for the incredible set the DJs brought us.<\/p>\n<p>Heavy bass, sharp objects\/glass shattering-like sounds getting us so close to that bliss, only to drop us into dark states and then again to elevate us.<\/p>\n<p>Neon-like fluorescent visuals of atoms building and deconstructing <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cwHYEM\">meaning<\/a> kept us amazed.<\/p>\n<p>Angry, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2diri4C\">powerful<\/a>, heavy, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cYdigW\">dark<\/a>, obscure, gloomy, obsessive, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rs7lbl6K5RA\">deep<\/a>, imaginative, melancholic, karmic, abrupt, perpetual, absolute, almost <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cwQnrR\">apocalyptic<\/a>&#8211; these are the words that best describe the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2cUkBmy\">masterpiece<\/a> that Cezar delivered.<\/p>\n<p>That so hard to describe state in which I found myself so lost between 19 and 23 august- still catches me dreaming.<\/p>\n<p>Minimalist hotel architecture in front, the sea peaking behind it and an amazing neon sun rising-that is a moment that froze in my mind, carrying me into a blissful state of wonder.<\/p>\n<p>Time went by in an abstract manner: we made a funny timetable- sleep for 3 hours, quick lunch\/dinner, sunbathe for one hour and then taxi to our favourite tent.<\/p>\n<p>Dance, laugh, feel for 7 to 15 hours and then repeat the schedule. Daily, for 5 days.<\/p>\n<p>Five days that flew like crazy; we lost perception of it, as time shifted.
